David Cameroon signed the treaties in London,

Mr.Cameron said it was a historical step.

He said the treaties will see Britain and
France form a joint army expeditionary force
and share aircraft carriers.A nuclear treaty will see the establishment
of a center in Britain to test nuclear technology

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki moon has joined South Korea
and several major powers in a strong condemnation
of North Korea`s shelling the South Korean island,

to retaliate with missile strikes in the event of further North Korean attacks.
The US State Department described the shelling as a stunning provocation.

since the Korean War ended in 1953.He condemned it
and called for immediate restraint.In a telephone call,
he conveyed his concerns to the current president of the Security Council,
the British ambassador Mark Lyall Grant.Mr Lyall Grant
told reporters he was in touch with council members about what to do next.
No country has formally requested an emergency session,
and the UN will wait to hear what South Korea might want from such a meeting.
But North Korea`s deputy ambassador said this was something
that should be discussed by the two Koreas and not by the Security Council.

There have been violent protests in Haiti against United Nations peacekeepers,
who have been blamed for a cholera epidemic that`s killed more than 900 people.
UN troops fired tear gas to disperse demonstrators throwing stones
and blocking roads in Cap Haitian,
Haiti`s second city.Some Haitians have accused peacekeepers
from Nepal of introducing cholera to Haiti for the first time in a century.
The UN says no evidence has been found to justify the accusation,
but the cholera strain has been matched to one from South Asia.
The US government says that almost 17.5 million American households
had trouble feeding themselves adequately last year because of their financial difficulties.
The Department of Agriculture said the number had not risen from 2008,
despite a sharp increase in unemployment,
and many families would have faced far more severe problems
without help from the federal government.
The social networking site Facebook has launched
a new messaging service that seeks to incorporate
and surpass email.The founder of Facebook,
Mark Zuckerberg, said he did not see email as a modern messaging system,
but he stressed that he didn`t envisage people abandoning it straight away.
“We don`t expect anyone to wake up tomorrow and say `OK,
I`m going to shut down my Yahoo mail account
or my G mail account and switch exclusively to Facebook`.
That`s not what we think is happening in the world.
What we think is happening is that just like those high school

When couples get married, they usually plan to have children.

Passage Two
Katharine Graham graduated from the University of Chicago in 1938 and
got a job as a news reporter in San Francisco.
Katharine`s father used to be a successful investment banker.
In 1933 he bought a failing newspaper—The Washington Post.
Then Katharine returned to Washington and got a job—editing letters
in her father`s newspaper. She married Philip Graham
who took over his father in law`s position shortly after and became publisher
of The Washington Post. But for many years her husband suffered
from mental illness and he killed himself in 1963.
After her husband`s death, Katharine operated the newspaper.
In the 1970s, the newspaper became famous around the world.
And Katharine was also recognized as an important leader in newspaper publishing.
She was the first woman to head a major American publishing company—The Washington Post Company.

Obtaining good health insurance is a real necessity while you are studying overseas.
It protects you from minor and major medical expenses
that can wipe out not only your savings but your dreams of education abroad.
There are often two different types of health insurance you can consider
buying—international travel insurance and student insurance
in the country where you will be going.
An international travel insurance policy is usually purchased
in your home country before you go abroad.
It generally covers a wide variety of medical services
and you are often given a list of doctors in the area where
you will travel who may even speak your native language.
The drawback might be that you may not get your money back immediately.
In other words, you may have to pay all your medical expenses
and then later submit your receipt to the insurance company.

of the medical cost at the time of service and thus you don`t have
